Re: PHP Upgrade for TimeTrex
I had stayed clear of the cloud version as we didn't have a really reliable internet connection. That has since change and the cloud version seems like the way to go. Guess it's migration time. Thanks for the input.

PHP Upgrade for TimeTrex
The new version of TimeTrex requires that I upgrade my version of php. It is currently at 5.2.6. Is there a straightforward method to upgrade the TimeTrex instance of php? This is on Mac OS X. The TimeTrex version is in /Applications/TimeTrex/php, but the normal php install tools want to put it in m...

Re: Pay Periods no longer being generated.
It sounds like PHP isn't able to access its .ini file that tells it to enable the PostgreSQL extension (this could be a result of how you ran the command itself), or you have more than one copy of PHP installed and they are conflicting with one another. Bingo! Give the man a kewpie doll. Thinking i...

Pay Periods no longer being generated.
Mac OS X 10.10.1 TimeTrex 7.4.7 Automated Install Our pay periods are no longer being generated. To be honest, I'm not sure when it stopped as we run payroll infrequently. Turning on the debug flags and running AddPayPeriod.php yields the following results: Warning: date(): It is not safe to rely on...

General Ledger Summary out of Balance
Our General Ledger Summary Report, which we use to manually enter payroll transactions into our accounting system, is out of balance and I'm not sure of the source. We're running the latest TimeTrex. I've attached the report. Does any body have a guess off hand as to where our problem may be? Thanks...

Re: Error: launch_timetrex_login.app not writeable
Well that certainly was an easy solution. I nuked the goofy symbolic link, which was writeable btw, and it finished the install just fine.
Thank you for your help with this. It is greatly appreciated.

Re: Error: launch_timetrex_login.app not writeable
Shaun, Any other thoughts other than wiping out the install completely and starting over?
Are there any other Mac OS X folks that have installed 7.3.4 successfully and have it running?
Thanks.

Re: Error: launch_timetrex_login.app not writeable
Doh! Sorry, it's been a long day of juggling bowling balls. I spaced in the launch app Vs the entire app. Sadly the chmod didn't resolve anything. I keep wondering why the app has a symbolic link back to itself within the app directory itself. It is in the form of /A/B/C->/A/B, where B is the .app.

Re: Error: launch_timetrex_login.app not writeable
This in on a Mac OS X system. The .app is a directory which contains all the files necesary for an application to run. I've verified that the directory itself is world writeable, but I'd be hesitant to set all files with the app to 777. Might one approach be to delete the entire app off the system a...

Re: Error: launch_timetrex_login.app not writeable
Exactly. The link is a self referencial link Within the launch app is a link to the launch app: sfm-home:launch_timetrex_login.app jimmccorison$ ls -l /Applications/TimeTrex/timetrex/launch_timetrex_login.app total 8 drwxrwxr-x 6 jimmccorison admin 204 Mar 31 10:59 Contents lrwxr-xr-x 1 jimmccorison...

How to Create a Deduction with an Hourly Rate
In Washington state our State Disability Insurance is expressed as an hourly amount. For example, employees in one of our categories are taxed $0.26/hour worked. None of the Calculation Criteria seem to support that. I guess I could fudge it up as a percentage that differs per employee based upon th...
