Re: Shifts Spanning Two Days
Thank you Shaun. The Out punch is just a learning curve issue for us / using this new system. The employee thought that they "should" punch IN again just to prove they were here. In regards to the switch in when the hours are totalled. I see where I can set "Assign Shifts To:" to...

Shifts Spanning Two Days
Running TimeTrex Standard 3.3.0 on Ubuntu 10.4 LTS. I have a couple of employees whose shifts span multiple days. For example: Employee punches in at 10:00pm on January 2, 2011. Employee punches out at 6:00am on January 3, 2011. Currently the hours are not adding up properly and I'm sure it is somet...

Re: Incorrect Input!
We always recommend that TimeTrex has accurate data, otherwise there is always a possibility of it causing problems in the future. If you aren't using TimeTrex for payroll, transaction dates aren't usually important, but for the minimal amount of time it takes to make them accurate, we recommend th...

Re: Incorrect Input!
You didn't mention what the transaction dates were for each pay period, so I can't tell you exactly what you should enter, but the above should get you much closer. Since we are not using this for payroll, do I need to put the actual dates that the employees are paid? Does that matter down the road...

Re: Incorrect Input!
Shaun thank you so much for your response. I have been working on setting up the Pay Period Schedule with the appropriate data. We are only using this strictly as a soft time clock. I have setup a new Pay Period Schedule with more accurate dating. In the image showing the Pay Period Schedule Listing...

Re: Incorrect Input!
So, I've been testing a few things and got the punches working with an active Pay Period Schedule. However, the dates in the Pay Period Schedule / Listing do not seem appropriate or that they will work as needed moving forward. Here is what my current "working" Pay Period Schedule List, Pa...

Re: Incorrect Input!
Yes, there were for a test employee, but none for anyone else. Did you start the Close Pay Period process at any time by mistake and lock the cards? Also were all of the old "schedules" (the 26 wrong ones) removed? Are you available to wipe the DB? No I did not start the Close Pay Period ...

Yes, there were for a test employee, but none for anyone else. adding ... I have removed the punches for the test employee. I've reset the system and I am still getting the same error. I think the ending date of Dec 31, 2010 which occurs if I don't separate the pay period by dates, was Dec 31, 2011 ...

Re: Incorrect Input!
Yes, the start date for the pay period schedule is set for January 1, 2011. All of the employees have been assigned to the new pay period schedule.
I've managed to create the 24 pay period for the semi-monthly to be the correct dates, but I still cannot get the punch in / out to work. Same error.

Incorrect Input!
I have installed the software and it was functioning perfectly. I was reviewing the Pay Periods Schedule and noticed that it went from Jan 1, 2011 to Dec 31, 2011 for all 24 Periods for a Semi-Monthly setup. I created a new Pay Period Schedule, added the employees but now the employees cannot punch ...

Did you use the automated installer to install TimeTrex, or the manual .ZIP file?
Thank you for your prompt reply. I used the automated installer. Specifically the TimeTrex_Standard_Edition-linux-installer.bin file.

I've almost completed my setup and configuration of Timetrex on Ubuntu. Running Standard version 3.3.0 on Ubuntu 10.4 LTS. Two of the last items I need to complete is the blocking of anyone to choose a language other than English. Is there a specific setting that will allow on English to be used by ...

Re: Simple Login / Logout Policy
No schedule is necessary, employees can always punch in/out whenever they want. Thank you for reviewing my inquiry. I have setup a "test" employee prior to deploying this to the minions and I am unable to punch in / punch out. The time and date are grayed out. I assumed that there was som...
