ROE File Not Openable
Hello; Not sure if this is a bug or not but when one clicks on the View button in the Record of Employment the file that is downloaded can not be opened straight away. Instead, is must be saved and then renamed to include the .pdf extension. Once the extension is added it opens fine. With other repo...

Re: How to use HR Qualifications and Reviews
Disregard my question after some more digging I actually found the answer.
To assign a qualification, first make sure you have the qualification entered into the system. Next click on Skills and select the user and the qualification.

How to use HR Qualifications and Reviews
We have set up the qualifications that we need through the HR section (of the Community Edition) I can't find though were I can associate Employees with these qualifications. We originally installed TimeTrex in 2012 and have kept upgrading ever since. Is there some sort of permission rebuild that ne...

EI Insurable Earnings and CPP Pensionable Earnings
Time Trex does not appear to have the built-in capacity to handle these mandatory amounts that appear on T4 slips. There are several issues in simply including the amount that appears in Box 14 for both: Issue 1) Amounts greater than the maximum annual insurable earnings amount (See http://www.cra-a...

Scheduling Overtime Warning/Exception
Hello; The non-profit theatre that I work for only has casual employees. When building a schedule we don't use the recurring schedules section because shifts are not in a fixed pattern. When entering in schedule data into TimeTrex I am wondering if there is a function of TimeTrex that warns you when...

Premiums and Overtime
Hello; I've been through a couple of forms and can't seem to figure this out. I am attempting to set up a different hourly wage for employees for when they work in the 'management' department (which is not their default department). At the moment I have a premium set up but I can't seem to find a wa...

Re: T4 Setup... Box 24
I talked to our bookkeeper about this regarding EI insurable earnings. He indicated that it is based on minimum value. I have a lot of casual employees who often don't make enough for EI to kick in (i.e. for the earnings to be insurable) but I can't completely write off the fact that they will or wi...

T4 Setup... Box 24
I am attempting to set up the T4 slips for 2013 and am stumped as to what to add to box 24. We are using the default payroll accounts that came with version 5.3.0 the community edition software. I've read online that it is the same as box 14 in the vast majority of cases. Does this need to be done d...

Re: Specific dates not appearing as part of pay period
Thanks for your help. That did the trick! What was particularly bizarre about this is that it did it for some days and not for others.
Thanks again!

Specific dates not appearing as part of pay period
Some dates are not being calculated towards an employees pay period. The punches are correct and it calculates for the week properly however it won’t combine these values into the pay period. How to replicate this problem. • Create a new employee without selecting a default pay period for them. • Ad...

Inputting Historical Pay Period Data
Hello; We are it the process of migrating our historical pay records into TimeTrex (from paper). We are doing this because we have discovered that we haven't been properly paying for Statutory Holidays. We have inputted this historical data, and have made sure to add the holiday dates to the Stat Ho...

I too would like to see employee self serve where you can schedule available shifts and employees can volunteer to fill them.

Hello; Just wanted to report another error. In Canada and its provinces when one has more than one employer at the same time they can only claim their personal amounts once with one employer and not the other. Mutiple Meals in Schedule Policy
Hello; Not sure if this is already possible or not, but I've Googled this and can't find what I am looking for. I manage a small non-profit community theatre and sometimes we have events where the shift is so long that it really should be two shifts (i.e.16 hours). We pay for lunches however, we bre...
