Re: Also unable to upgrade Community Edition 16.3.1
And just in case that's important (in case that's how it upgrades the version), I recently (since the last upgrade) limited SSH connections to the server to only specific IP addresses. I don't think it should affect this, but that's the only thing that's different since the last several upgrades (wh...

Also unable to upgrade Community Edition 16.3.1
Hello! I just got the message that TimeTrex was unable to upgrade. My current version is 16.3.1. It was installed using the deb package. My php version is 8.1.2. My ubuntu version is 22. Any thoughts? Will it try to perform another upgrade later and possibly be successful? Please let me know what st...

Re: How to get to timetrex.ini.php
Ok, I got this figured out. I just used sudo su to change to root user, then I could go inside the html folder and change the file. However, after I change the hostname in the timetrex.ini.php, the system doesn't work and states that it is down for maintenance when I try to access it through a brows...

Re: How to get to timetrex.ini.php
The hostname is in the timetrex.ini.php file, so I am trying to find and get into that file. So far, it appears that this file is supposed to be in the folder that I mentioned, but I can't get into that folder because of permission issues and when I changed ownership of the folder, there was nothing...

Re: How to get to timetrex.ini.php
I installed using the .deb package. I tried doing sudo chown username:usergroup /usr/share/timetrex/html. It changed the ownership of html folder, but not the subfolders or files (I wasn't sure if that was safe to do) and it showed an empty folder as a result. I was afraid to change all of them, jus...

How to get to timetrex.ini.php
Hello! I installed TimeTrex on Ubuntu 22, but it states that I need to set the hostname to the correct IP address. The problem is, I can't find timetrex.ini.php. I believe it's in /usr/share/timetrex/html, but permission is denied. Do I need to change ownership of the folder or what is the next step...

Re: 2 emails that I keep receiving about maintenance jobs and hostname
So what do I do now? Do I autoremove the timetrex package? Do I uninstall everything and reinstall (if so, how do I uninstall everything and how do I keep the database?)
Thanks,
Alex.
Thanks,
Alex.

Re: 2 emails that I keep receiving about maintenance jobs and hostname
It only lists timetrex-community-edition 15.2.1, no other installations.
What can I do now?
Thanks for your help!

Re: 2 emails that I keep receiving about maintenance jobs and hostname
I only have one folder named timetrex in the html folder. Where else could it have installed itself? What can I do to fix that? And where would the cron job be located, so I can check it?
Thanks!
Alex.
Thanks!
Alex.

Re: 2 emails that I keep receiving about maintenance jobs and hostname
I think I installed the zip file, although I originally had some issues with the installation (which I seem to have been sorted out, except this one, I guess) and also tried the .deb installation. I installed the package only a month ago.
Thanks,
Alex.

Re: 2 emails that I keep receiving about maintenance jobs and hostname
For the first issue, I access TimeTrex at e.mycompany.com/timetrex/interface/html5/, so I entered e.mycompany.com in timetrex.ini.php under hostname =… (near the bottom of the file). It seems correct, but it keeps emailing me about this. Maybe I need put quotation marks around the domain name? Or ma...

2 emails that I keep receiving about maintenance jobs and hostname
Hello! I keep getting the following messages every few days: 1. Hostname specified in TimeTrex config file does not match the accessed URL. Please go to your timetrex.ini.php file and set "hostname" to ... (my domain name) 2. Critical maintenance jobs have not run in the last 48hours. Plea...

Re: Unable to complete installation of the database
Ok, never mind. That was silly of me. I just had to add a Privileged database user name. I got it now and it's working!
Thanks for steering me in the right direction!

Re: Unable to complete installation of the database
Ok, got it figured out (at least running postgresql). I even upgraded it to version 14. It connects and when I type in psql -h localhost, it asks for password for ubuntu. Anyway, I've created a database timetrex with a password, but when I go to <<myip>>/timetrex/interface/install/install.php and ru...

Re: Unable to complete installation of the database
Here's what it did:
psql: error: connection to server at "localhost" (127.0.0.1), port 5432 failed: Connection refused
Is the server running on that host and accepting TCP/IP connections?

Unable to complete installation of the database
Hello! I am trying to install the Community Version on my server running Ubuntu v16. I go through most of the process, but get stuck on installing the database. I don't know if it didn't install correctly the first time, but if I try installing the .deb package, it says the following: timetrex-commu...
