Re: Verify how I am using timetrex for a small business?
I have a couple of questions regarding the setup of timetrex. Currently we pay on random days as well, and again we are flexible. Sometimes we pay for the past week (7 days) on a Monday, Tuesday or a Wednesday. The employees are all ok with it, and we really just pay them when they request. They un...

Re: Latest Update
I'm having trouble downloading it. I tried on two different PCs, and three different browsers.
All I'm getting is a small file, about 288K or so.

Re: Coverage Based Scheduling
Why are you jumping from 3 to 5?
Do you have something against the number "4" or something?

Re: Coverage Based Scheduling
Will those of us using the free version be able to get version 5 when it is released, or will it only be for users with the paid version?

TimeTrex 5? I thought it is currently at 3.3.2. Are you skipping version 4 entirely?shaunw wrote:Not yet, but they will be available when v5.0 is officially released though.

Re: 3.3.1 Install hangs
Wow! Had I know that all it took as to ask, I would have asked earlier in the week
I just installed it, and checked that the Maryland tax rate appears to be calculating correctly.
I just entered the county percentage in the box (3.2), and the pay stub looks correct.
Thanks.

Any update on when we can expect 3.3.2?

Re: County income tax not showing on W2/W3 forms
If you haven't paid the employees for the first pay period in 2011, then yes you could edit the pay stubs and correct the tax amounts and remove the County Tax / Deduction or line item from them. Then once you install the new version it should continue to match up. Thanks. I just left the pay perio...

Re: County income tax not showing on W2/W3 forms
Thanks. If I don't mark the pay stub "paid" yet, and wait until the new update comes out, will I be able to recalculate this week's pay stub using the correct formula? If I were to manually edit the pay stub this week to show the correct amounts, would that prevent me from re-calculating t...

Re: County income tax not showing on W2/W3 forms
Thanks.
Do you have an ETA on when the next version will be released?
I'm not worried about correcting previous time sheets, but will the YTD calculations get messed up if the employee's tax settings get changed mid-year?
Is there anything special I need to do to avoid messing it up?

Re: County income tax not showing on W2/W3 forms
Here's a minor update: The employee actually earns $475 per week (I was doing the calculations on thursday night, before Friday's hours were in her timesheet). Here are the correct weekly numbers: Gross: $475 Federal Withholding $25.19 (accurate) Social Security $19.95 (accurate) Medicare $6.89 (acc...

Re: County income tax not showing on W2/W3 forms
I have not heard any update on this tax calculation problem. I have a single employee, earning $380 per week. She is married, filing jointly in Maryland. She has one exemption for both Federal and State. Montgomery County tax is 3.2%. TimeTrex accurately calculated the following: Federal Withholding...

Adding notes to schedule
Is there a way I can add a note to the schedule? For example, if I schedule an employee to be in a different branch on a certain day, it would be helpful if I could add a note explaining why. Or, if they are scheduled to be off, I would like to have the ability to put a note in there as to the reaso...

Re: Problem with pay period spanning January 1st
I guess that makes sense.
What is the preferred method of terminating an employee in the middle of a pay period, and generating their final pay stub on (or before) their last day?

Re: Problem with pay period spanning January 1st
Yes, it was definitely an error, and it didn't generate a pay stub. When I changed the pay period dates, I didn't get any errors, and it DID generate the pay stub. I did put them all back exactly as they were before, though. However, since I think I found the error on my end (the termination date wa...

Re: Cleaning up the TimeTrex folder
Since I make a full backup of the folder before doing an upgrade, there isn't really a risk in deleting the Rollback folders, right?

Re: Problem with pay period spanning January 1st
Never mind - I think I figured it out. The employee's last day working for us is 12/31/2010. Since the Transaction Date was after that, I think that was causing the error. I changed her termination date to 1/2/2010, and that fixed the problem. It still might be a bug (since the error message being g...

Problem with pay period spanning January 1st
I am having a problem with a pay period spanning January 1st. I have been using a recurring one-week pay period schedule, running Sunday-Saturday, with the transaction date on the Sunday following the end of the pay period. I am running TimeTrex 3.3.1 (just upgraded - didn't fix the problem) on Wind...

Cleaning up the TimeTrex folder
I have been using TimeTrex now for about 18 months, (first on Windows XP, then on Windows 7 for the past year or so). It is a wonderful program, and I find it pretty easy to use. I just installed a new update (3.3.1), and made sure to make a backup before I did the upgrade. I make my backups by stop...

Database size
I have been using TimeTrex for about 18 months now, for three employees (one at a time, though). In addition, there are two "administrator" employees, but they don't submit timesheets or get paid from the system. My database is quite large at this point, and is just over 12 MB (based on th...

Re: County income tax not showing on W2/W3 forms
Thanks. I don't think it will be too much of an issue if it doesn't get into this update, since the amounts are really close, and I would be reporting the actual amount I withhold, anyway. Just that if I withhold too much, she gets more of a refund (or owes less), and if I withhold too little, she g...

Re: County income tax not showing on W2/W3 forms
The link you sent me came up with the EXACT same number as the other online calculators. I used $475 as the weekly wages, 1 exemption, "married filing jointly", and set the county to "Montgomery." The "official" Maryland calculator came up with $29.81. In TimeTrex, when...
