External website from internal

Post by rdejesus48 »

Hi,

I installed 5.2.2 of your software onto my Server2008 R2 box using the installer. I made all entries into my DNS server for both internal and external pointing. When I browse to the http://localhost:8085/interface/flex/ url, it goes no where on any machine but the local server it is installed on. Any ideas on the best way to do this? Would it be best if I stayed away from the installer and just installed it manually using IIS?

This URL will only work from the computer that TimeTrex is installed on:
http://localhost:8085/interface/flex/
Notice the "localhost" part. If you want to access TimeTrex remotely, you need to replace "localhost" with the remotely accessible IP address of the TimeTrex server, or some domain that resolves to that IP address. This has nothing to do with TimeTrex itself, this has to do with how your network/internet is setup.
