it says to however pause on the final step of the installation procedure where it asks you to launch the web browser to complete the installation.

is this before or after the database configuration?

so my question really boils down to do i finish the install the full way then go though a do a update to merge the old database. or do i stop after i verified everything is ready for the install.

The migration process is if you are using Windows and the automated installer. The step it says to pause at is once Apache, PHP and PostgreSQL are installed, and before you launch the web-based installer.

If you installed TimeTrex on Linux from the manual .ZIP, it only has the web-based installer, so you before you run that is when you migrate the database.
