Hi! I'm having trouble doing an IRS Form 940 in the new user interface.

All the combinations of menu choices produce a form 940 without any numbers on it; only the top block that lists our EIN, company name, etc. is filled out.

Here is a typical set of choices that produces a number-less form 940:

After getting the tabbed dialog window with tabs Report / Setup / Chart / Form Setup / Saved Reports....

1) The choice for Report: Template: (Quarter, Month, Employee, Branch, Dept, etc.) don't seem appropriate for Form 940 which is a yearly report (I think).

2) Nevertheless, I selected Report: Template = by Quarter and then Report: Time Period = Last Year, then Report: Display Column = 8 items selected, then Report: Group = Date - Quarter, then Report: Sort by = Date - Quarter

3) On the Setup tab I left all the defaults (Setup: Fields = 8 items selected, Report: Page Orientation = Portrait, ....)

4) On the Chart tab.....it is n/a

5) on Report: Form Setup: Type of Return, the choices (Amended, Successor Employer, No Payments to Employees, Final Business closed or stopped) don't seem appropriate...I'm trying to do my yearly report for 2012. (Yes I know I'm very late.)

For Report: Time Period, I've tried a variety of time periods including custom dates...however all produce a blank (number-less) form 940.

Any suggestions?

The Form Setup tab is key here, there are dropdown boxes to tell TimeTrex which amounts are put into each box on the form, if those aren't configured, then you won't see any data on the form.
