using TimeTrex with Time recorder

Post by mark024 »

Hi
I am new to TimeTrex
I am using a "time recorder machine", and for sure we can get a CSV file containing user Punches.
Is it possible in TimeTrex to import punch data from a text file.??
What are the necessary steps to do.
Any existing topic will be helpful .

Thank you

To import from a .CSV file, you will need to use one of the import scripts in the tools/import directory.

Thank you for your reply .
But I tried the import function in the tools/import , with the existing csv format, but it doesn't work.

Is there any pre-requisites, or any pre-configuration has to be made first.

Yes, the file needs to match the format in the import_punches.csv and import_punches2.csv example files.

Hi shaunw,

As I tried, I even can't import these two example files(import_punches.csv and import_punches2.csv),

during the import process everything seems OK, but it got error message "Operation cannon be completed",

any idea for it? thanks

Can you copy and paste the exact command that you run and output that you get here?
