Help - Timesheet Question

Post by wiki »

Hi Community Team!

We are currently in testing mode.

My question is about time calculations. We have different scenario in our work were we have a strict 8 hours a day from 7:30 - 4:30 minus lunch in a single shift without overtime, wherein if the employee will came in late or come out early, we are going to just bank the time for the later pay period date deduction in the future.

- 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM minus Lunch (1 hr.) =8 hours
- no overtime
- bank undertime for future deductions.

My problem is when the employee came in early or come out late the system will just fill out the excess time into the undertime / lates which is not what we want to achieve. Please see my screen shot below.

Thanks,

Sorry, I don't understand your question, please provide more details an example of what you want to see instead of what TimeTrex is currently showing you.

Sorry shaunw

I'm a bit overwhelmed by the wide features of timetrex.

What we're trying to achieve is this

We have a strict 8 hours schedule a day from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM monday to friday. We are currently no overtime and we are banking undertime coming from late in and early out. So for example:

Schedule : 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

where if the employee came in late and go out late

7:40 AM - in
4:40 PM - out
-----------------------------------------------
Worked Time 9:00
Lunch - 1:00
----------------------------------------------------
Reg time 8:00
Lates/Undertime 00:10 ---- banked to be deducted in the future pay period (Paid)
Excess time 00:10 ---- banked for reference use only (Unpaid - )

My problem is the timetrex is unable to bank the excess time rather it automatically pay for the late/undertime.

Please see my example image.

Hi!

I am going to simplify my question...

This is our problem

schedule 7:00am - 8:00 - regular time - 9 hours minus lunch

punch time in 7:20am ---- late for 20 minutes
punch out 8:20 ----- excess for 20 minutes
---------------------------------------------------------------
work time - 9:00 hours
lunch - 1:00
--------------------------
regular time 8:00

Timetrex is paying the late from the excess time and still calculate it as 8 hours regular time. which is not what we want...

___________________________________________________________________________

What we want to achieve :

punch time in 7:20am ---- late for 20 minutes
punch out 8:20 ----- excess for 20 minutes
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Work Time - 09:00
Lunch - 01:00
-------------------------------------------
Regular Time 8:00
Undertime 00:20 bank paid
excess time 00:20 - bank unpaid just a reference for those who come in/out early for the selection of employee of the year.
------------------------------------------
Total time: 8:00

I hope my explanation makes sense this time.
