Hardware Interface

Post by joako »

How can I discover how the TimeTrex hardware (link: http://www.timetrex.com/hardware.php ) interfaces with the TimeTrex software?

I am interested in the possibility of using 3rd party hardware. Since timetrex is open source, this should be no issue, right?

Every hardware device is different, for 3rd party hardware you need to obtain the SDK for the hardware device itself then use that to interface with the TimeTrex internal or external APIs.

Hardware we sell at our Online Store uses a custom built protocol in the devices firmware to communicate with the TimeTrex server. Each individual device itself also has its own protocol designed specifically for the capabilities of that device.
