Serial Interfeace

Post by DrSm0ke »

How can I enable a serial interface to this software to allow a 3rd party RFID reader.
I have a reader that uses a standard PC com port.
It outputs serial data based on the individual cards, it is a long range reader .
Ie: it will scan about 3 ft out from the wall so you don't have to remove your card from your pocket or purse.
I don't want to use your RFID reader, we have our own, in fact we have a whole building full of them.
We want to use it strictly as a IN/Out board with the possibility of adding time clock keeping later.
It is a HID reader with a Wiegand Interface Protocol.

TIA

You would need to build your own software that bridges the gap between your hardware and TimeTrex.
