Unfortunately TimeTrex does not support languages other than English at this time. We are looking into adding full support for other languages around the middle of 2007 if there is enough demand for it.

I think it would be beneficial for TimeTrex to support other languages. Spanish would be a good one to start out with.

TimeTrex v1.6.0 has the initial ground work for supporting multiple languages and the next major version will focus on full multilingual support, with Spanish being the first translation.

Hello,

I just wanted to express my support for multilingual version as we're evaluating TimeTrex and it looks very promising. We would have to get it translated before it can be fully deployed.

Best regards,
Hanke.

Is the system UTF-8 compliant in the current version? While the interface is only available in English now, can we input Japanese/Chinese characters without making it crash? This would allow other community members to help translate into whatever language is needed. Of course, some adjustment of the screen forms may be needed for other language font sizes (esp double byte characters).

Regards
Daniel.

TimeTrex has not been tested to be fully UTF-8 compliant in versions LESS then 2.0. We are working towards that for version 2.0 which should hopefully be released sometime this month.

We will definitely need beta testers, so keep an eye open for it.

TimeTrex v2.0.0-rc1 has been released which includes multiple language support. We urge anyone interested in this functionality to download it and help us test it out.

Support for Chinese

Post by Kristof »

Hello,
For the moment I'm testing Timetrex to see if we can use it in our company.
Functionallity wise TimeTrex looks very promissing but since we are a Chinese company we can't do without support for Chinese Characters.

It's not necessary for the GUI to be in Chinese but at least it must accept the chinese names of our employees.
For the moment i get the following error:
Incorrect Input!

First name contains invalid characters.
Last name contains invalid characters

Thanks for your help,
Kristof
