Problem In Time Zone

Post by einspire »

I am just a begginer with TimeTrex and I am facing strange time mismatch problem: punching at 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM is recorded as 4:30 AM to 12:30 PM in Timesheet Report. I played a lot with settings but couldn't get any clue what could be the reason for this shift. The user manual appears to be helpless to me as well.

I have installed Time Trex Standard edition – Version 1.5.0. The installation was successful. I added employee’s details. I have set the Time to IST in the Menu / My Account / Preferences but still the problem persists.

For You Info: The Database is PostgreSQL & Operating System is Windows Server 2003,

Please help.

TimeTrex v1.5.0 is probably over a year old, please install the latest version of TimeTrex (v2.2.5) and try again.

Chances are the issue has to do with your timezones under MyAccount -> Preferences, but you will definitely want to upgrade to the latest version first.

You can try using one of the Etc/GMT... time zones to see if those help. Regardless though it is extremely important that you upgrade to the latest version.

Yes I tried, it didn't work. Available are GMT 5 or GMT 6, as India is GMT 5:30 I would need that.

Unfortunately it looks like PostgreSQL doesn't support the IST timezone. You will need to try MySQL instead.

You can download MySQL from:
http://www.mysql.com/

You don't need to install TimeTrex again, but you will lose any data that you have in its database.

TimeTrex only supports PostgreSQL, EnterpriseDB or MySQL at this time.
