Post by bonhomme »

Hi Shauw we really would like to get that issue resolved: There is the situation one tax bracket is like that

From 0 to 25514 calculation at 13%
25514 to 38271 at 20.8%
38271 to 53154 at 27.3%

The second tax bracket is

From 0 to 9750 at 0%
9750 to 250000 at 30.4%
250000 to 999999 at 35,4%

Calculation is made using "Advanced Percent (Tax Bracket) "

Thanks

It's simple

The issue is like that we have one company where one branch is on the island of Aruba there the bracket tax system is like that:

From 0 to 9750 at 0%
9750 to 250000 at 30.4%
250000 to 999999 at 35,4%

But here "St Martin" the bracket is different. We have it like below

From 0 to 25514 calculation at 13%
25514 to 38271 at 20.8%
38271 to 53154 at 27.3%

We have the program installed here but we would like to proceed with Aruba calculation in one payroll. The question is how can we have those two bracket setup in the screen "Edit Tax / Deduction"?

Our Calculation is made on the screen "Edit Tax / Deduction" using "Advanced Percent (Tax Bracket) "
hoping that I am clearer now

Thanks

Each Tax / Deduction entry and can assigned to specific employees. So the Aruba brackets can be assigned to the employees there, and the St Martin brackets can be assigned to the employees there.

I did it that way but I can't see the taxes for Aruba employees I think because St martin is first in the setup yes I got the tax for st martin but nothing for Aruba. Do you think St Martin overlaps Aruba?

That shouldn't matter, TimeTrex will apply any and all Tax / Deductions assigned to each employee. A more likely reason is that the Aruba brackets aren't setup correctly.

I did everything as it should be but

From 0 to 25514 calculation at 13%
25514 to 38271 at 20.8%
38271 to 53154 at 27.3%

The second tax bracket is

From 0 to 9750 at 0%
9750 to 250000 at 30.4%
250000 to 999999 at 35,4%

In that setup I am asking myself if Timetrex just stop by the first three calculations and ignores the second From 0 to 9750 at 0%, 9750 to 250000 at 30.4% ?

I can't see still nothing for Aruba

How come in an earlier post you mentioned that everything was working, but now its not? What changed?

You only sent screenshots for one Aruba tax bracket, which is 0%, so it will never do anything and doesn't help us figure out what may be happening.

Please also include a screenshot of the resulting pay stub.

We received the screenshots you emailed us. Unfortunately we still don't have enough information to figure out what may be happening. We will either need to get remote access to your system or have you enable debug logging and send us the log file after you re-generate your pay stubs.

You are re-generating your pay stubs after you make a change to your Tax / Deductions correct? Is the identification number on the bottom right of the pay stub changing each time you re-generate the pay stubs?

Dear Shauw,

I have the requested documents to send but I am getting this message when trying to attach a document by clicking on "Add the file" for uploading "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached."

Could you please inform me what should be done

Dear Shauw,

I performed a test to get the tax directly just to be sure that my includes and exclude in TAX/DEDUCTIONS are correct and it came out that I am doing the right thing at least I think so.

the wage of the employee is
2000 from that amount 23.33 + 115.18 are subtracted thus the result is 1861.49

from 1861.49 we subtract 916.67 thus 1861.49 - 916.67 = 944.82 that will put the person in the second bracket

944.82 * 30.40% = 287.23 the value needed as tax.

I really hope it's not an issue with the application

Unfortunately you haven't answered the questions in my previous post, or supplied the necessary log files to determine what may be happening:

After installing the Timetrex on a different machine I am still having the same problem. I do not see any identification number at the bottom right Shaun.

About the "log file" could you please advise me where can I get it enabled and it's location, because I do not have any idea of that file and it's location.

But why for that particular bracket?

Thank you very much for your patience one thing I am sure this problem soon will be over.

Please see item #5 of this FAQ post:
http://forums.timetrex.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=89

Only use verbosity=10 instead of 11. Once debugging is enabled, I recommend deleting your most recent pay stubs that you are having problems with and regenerating them, then attach the timetrex.log file from your TimeTrex log directory here.

What does your pay period schedule look like? How many pay periods in a year do you have?

Also what version of TimeTrex are you using?

Dear Shaun,

In the attachment is the document requested. I am using one payperiod because we are tested the new version. But we at the moment we really would this feature to be part of the application.
