I have been using TimeTrex now for about 18 months, (first on Windows XP, then on Windows 7 for the past year or so).
It is a wonderful program, and I find it pretty easy to use.
I just installed a new update (3.3.1), and made sure to make a backup before I did the upgrade.
I make my backups by stopping the TimeTrex services (using the stop.bat script), making a copy of the entire c:\timetrex folder, and then restarting TimeTrex (using start.bat).
I have noticed, however, that the folder is quite large (mine is over 650 MB), and contains several "rollbackBackupDirectory" folders (in this case, there are three of them), each about 109 MB.
What are these folders used for? Can they safely be deleted?
Thanks.
Cleaning up the TimeTrex folder
Re: Cleaning up the TimeTrex folder
They are used to rollback to old versions if something goes wrong. You can delete them, but then you lose that ability of course.
Re: Cleaning up the TimeTrex folder
Since I make a full backup of the folder before doing an upgrade, there isn't really a risk in deleting the Rollback folders, right?
Re: Cleaning up the TimeTrex folder
There shouldn't be in that case.
