Has anyone tried to use TimeTrex for a simple exception time tracking? It seems like it would not work in this scenario, but I wanted to see if anyone had tried.

Can you please explain in detail what you mean by "exception time tracking".

For salaried employees we track only the time they take off. So, best case scenario would be that a user only has to fill out a sheet when they take time off, not every week. Or some semblance of this, maybe the system assumes they worked an 40 hour week, unless they submit a time sheet.

Yes, you can just enter absence time into TimeTrex if you want, you don't have to have any actual "worked" time.

You can also use the Auto-Pilot flag in Recurring Schedules to automatically punch the employee in/out based on any given schedule template.
