v2.1.0 rc1 - PostgreSQL only?

Post by NigelF »

Does this version support MySQL? It didn't ask me during install, just loaded postgreSQL regardless.

I reset the installer flag and re-ran config, the database drop down has an option for "EnterpriseDB", but that won't connect to the MySQL server.

Thanks.

If you want to use MySQL I recommend that you download the source (.ZIP) file and do a manual install, don't use the installer at all.

The installer is only setup for PostgreSQL, it doesn't have the MySQL libraries configured at all.

How do you do a manual install pls? I didn't see the schema file in the .Zip download.

Follow the instructions in README.txt.

If you download the .ZIP file directly, it is fine to use the web based installer at that point, it will let you chose any of the databases that it supports and take care of everything for you in that regard.

If you download any of the executable installers (for Windows or Linux) they contain an embedded version of PHP that only supports PostgreSQL and does 100% of the setup for you.
