TimeTrex Time and Attendance

Is there anyway I can set a policy or permission to restrict when an employee can punch in.
eg. if an employee is scheduled for 8 am. I don't want them to be able to punch no earlier than 10 minutes prior to the start of their shift.

If they punch in at 7:51 am it will allow, then I can round it to 8 am (cause that is when I am paying them too)
but if they punch in 7:40 am ( they get denied too early to punch in. Cause if I round that it will go to 7:45 am and I want their punch card to reflect the time which they are getting paid @ 8 am.

Any help or ideas would be great.

TimeTrex accepts any punch made by an employee. That being said Strict Schedule Rounding Policies should meet your needs.

Thank you, I am however currently using both of these features. It works great. but the problem is when an employee signs into too early. It rounds up yes, but they are still punching in too early. If I could restrict the allowed access to the punch untill just before their shift, it would be good.

Is there a work around for that?
