Re: User Name Field not visible in IE9 in version 5.0.4
Thanks for posting the fix! I updated to 5.0.6 yesterday and experienced the same issue across all of our systems running IE8 (we're using a web application that hasn't vetted IE9 yet). No problems in Firefox or Chrome. Thanks again! EDIT: In case it helps, I've added before and after screenshots. I...

Upgrade recommendation from 3.4.0?
Good afternoon! I'm currently running TimeTrex Standard 3.4.0 on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. I've received the Out Of Date warning and am preparing to upgrade my TimeTrex installation. I just want to confirm, is it safe to upgrade from 3.4.0 directly to 3.7.0? Should I go ahead and upgrade to 5.0.1 at this tim...

Re: Override lunch auto-deduct policy
Thanks for the quick response. Just to make sure, if we're using it for timekeeping and payroll but not scheduling, is there any way to override the default meal policy for the policy group? Or is using scheduled shifts and policy overrides the only way? Thanks!

Override lunch auto-deduct policy
Good morning! I'm running TimeTrex v3.0.7 on Ubuntu 8.04 Server LTS with Apache and MySQL. I have the 3.1.0 upgrade on my to-do list. ;) My payroll and accounting manager has set up a lunch auto-deduction policy for >6 hours worked, but asked me if there was a way to override the policy if an employ...

Re: Detailed Timesheet - print according to work week?
I guess a setting missed an update or something, because it's now printing the entire pay period regardless of when the first punch occurred. What the payroll department was looking for was the 7-day groupings on the timesheet printout to run along with the work week, Sunday to Saturday. I'll let th...

Detailed Timesheet - print according to work week?
TimeTrex 3.0.4 Standard running on Ubuntu Server 8.04.3 LTS w/ MySQL database I just had a question come down from payroll: is there any way for the Detailed Timesheet printouts to print according to our work week (Sunday to Saturday)? They were previously printing starting from the first punch for ...

Detailed Timesheet by specific department?
Good afternoon! Timetrex Standard 3.0.4 running under Ubuntu Server 8.04 LTS with MySQL backend My office manager is trying to run payroll after our first pay period using TimeTrex. We have a subset of staff that will clock in as either "Cleaning" or "Inspection" under department...

Re: Misc. Items: Language support, Punches, Shifts
Shaun,
Thanks for the assistance. I ran
$ sudo locale-gen es_ES
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales
as per this thread: http://forums.timetrex.com/viewtopic.php?t=1333
Spanish is now working. Thanks again!

Re: Misc. Items: Language support, Punches, Shifts
Good evening! I have successfully upgraded to 3.0.4 and installed the Ubuntu/Debian packages "language-support-es" and "language-pack-es", however I am unsure what else is necessary to provide Spanish language support in TimeTrex. The drop-down menu for language selection at logi...

Re: Misc. Items: Language support, Punches, Shifts
Changed type to "mysqli", backed up the tmp (cache) directory and cleared it out. Punch List and Scheduled Shifts are working now. Thanks!
I'll investigate language support tomorrow. Have a Happy New Year, and thanks for all your help, Shaun!

Re: Misc. Items: Language support, Punches, Shifts
My apologies, Shaun. TimeTrex Standard 3.0.1 running on Ubuntu Linux 8.04 Server LTS with LAMP preinstallation with MySQL. I'll investigate language support at the OS level and the MySQLi driver. Thanks for the quick response! EDIT: I assume this is where I need to change my driver: timetrex.ini.php...

Misc. Items: Language support, Punches, Shifts
Three short issues: 1) Non-English language support does not seem to be working. If I set "Language" at login or in preferences, it reverts to "English" every time. We have a number of Spanish-speaking employees that may benefit from Spanish language support. 2) Timesheet > Punch...

Re: Cron/maintenance jobs problem
Sigh. I love Linux, but I loathe Linux permissions sometimes. /var/www/timetrex/log/timetrex_cron_last_executed.log was created by root, and so www-data is running the cronjob, but cron.php can't update the timetrex_cron_last_executed.log due to bad permissions. I chown'd the file to www-data:www-da...

Re: Cron/maintenance jobs problem
I have created a root user crontab and entered the above file. I'll watch timetrex_cron_last_executed.log to see if it's updating.
Jim
EDIT: Just to be sure, I should be watching for this file to update once a minute, correct?

Re: Cron/maintenance jobs problem
Running the command from the CLI throws a couple of errors about MagicQuotes and PHP MemoryLimit, but probably because I haven't set the proper variables in /etc/php5/cli/php.ini (do I need to do that?). The first time I ran it from the command line this morning, it ran 4 maintenance jobs, created /...

Cron/maintenance jobs problem
As with my previous installation of Timetrex, I'm getting the maintenance jobs have not run in 48 hours. I'm running Timetrex on Ubuntu 8.04 Server LTS. What distribution of Linux are you using? I can post my writeup of installation instructions for Ubuntu 8.04 Server LTS (LAMP preinstalled) if the mods are okay with it.

.ZIP installer download for 3.0.1 (11-13-2009 upload) proble
Good morning, I've replaced one of our servers and am attempting to do a fresh install of Timetrex. The 3.0.1 upload on Sourceforge (uploaded 11-13-2009) for the platform-independent install seems like it may have been compressed incorrectly. Instead of the source files, it's one zipped file: /home/...
