We are trying to delete a message that was sent. Once We have dealt with a message it didn't need to stay in our inbox so we tried to delete it. Is there a way to remove the message from the inbox so it is only new messages, or old ones that still need to be dealt with.

Ok we have been trying to figure out what is going on here but we have no clue as to why messages sent cannot be deleted. Found the error of our ways. When HR set the employee's up they were set to EST instead of Canada Eastern so the TimeTrex system did not set the time properly. We are changing employee's to Canada Eastern and the time is correct.

Well we got my problems fixed. It appears that when I switched away from the mysql database server that some of the cache files were still there and causing problems. When Mike looked at the problem he suggested that I remove all the files in the cache directory, /tmp/timetrex and this fixed my prob...

Any leads Shaun? or is this something that is gonna cost the company? We are looking at this with the possibility of purchasing in the future but need to get the free version running first to see if the basics will start giving us what we need before we go to the full package.

Tried with Postgresql and it installed with no problems. Not going to tinker anymore with mysql and TimeTrex and going to leave it on Postgresql to run there.

Well creating the database and user to start with did not work. I took your suggestion in my other thread and the system is now working under PostGresql wtih no problems.

No I did not create a specific user for the database. Should it not work when you go with the Root user that it doesn't matter what database it is?

I will try a re-install again with making the user and database first but I am not sure how that will change the outcome.

Well I got past the 4th page error by using the root mysql user instead of the TimeTrex user and it allows me to go right through steps 4 5 6 7 .. but as soon as I Click on Submit for Creating the admin user I get the Database is down for maintenance.
