Re: Can't resolve weekly errors

So by web server user, you don't mean www-data. You mean the username that I use when I log in?

Re: Can't resolve weekly errors

I created a tmp2 directory. I got another error today, but the timetrex is there (it's just empty). Can you tell me what the ownership and permissions settings should be?

Re: Can't resolve weekly errors

Thanks Shaun. Is there a reason I shouldn't just make a cache folder in my timetrex directory, put the folder in there, and change the path in the timetrex.ini.php file?

Can't resolve weekly errors

I've had TT installed on my local LAMP server for a couple of years (Ubuntu 12.04). For the last couple of months I have been getting a red banner error on Monday mornings that TT can't do it maintenence or whatever. If I set the installer to True and get to the test screen I see this error in the P...

Saved Report Times Out After Upgrade

I think it was the up grade at least. It's a new problem anyway, and I just upgraded to teh latest version last week. After clicking on teh "Saved Reports" button I get teh dark window with "Processing, then "Downloading", then "Network Timeout" with the spinner st...

Need To Change Vacation Pay Balance

I have an account called Vacation Accrual Release that I used for vacation pay in a previous version. When I upgraded TT I set up the existing account of Vacation Pay to use instead. But the old Vacation Accrual Release was still there and I forgot and used it. The issue is that the old Vacation Acc...

Re: Incorrect Social Security Deductions

Yes, I find it a little confusing: Line 10 on this return is less than $2,500 or line 10 on the return for the prior quarter was less than $2,500, and you did not incur a $100,000 next-day deposit obligation during the current quarter. If line 10 for the prior quarter was less than $2,500 but line 1...

Re: Incorrect Social Security Deductions

Right, I upgraded and it looks good. The weird thing is that the 941 form said it was for 2013, and TT was taking out the tax at 6.2%, it was just teh 941 form that was wrong. I do see another issue though. In part 2 of the 941 form, the first box is checked. It should be the 2nd box, and the amount...

Re: Incorrect Social Security Deductions

OK so what I've realized is that the 941 quarterly report is wrong. The SS tax should be 6.2%, & that's what has been coming out. I think I used the default setup for the 941 form. I don't know why it has the 10.4% calculation in there. I think that's for self-employed people?

Incorrect Social Security Deductions

I'm having a problem that appears to be too much coming out for SS. When I run my quarterly 941 report it shows a calculation of .104 x SS wages but that number is about 16% less than the actual total of my monthly payments for that quarter. I have had a problem previously with double exclusions for...

Yes I am using SQL. I think I'll install the new version of TT with Postgre for the new year & just keep this for my records. Thanks again for all your help.

Re: Current Pay Period Not in End of Pay Period

I restored the earlier db & that fixed the overlapping days issue. It still wouldn't import punches though. I just started using the new pay period schedule & it seems fine. Is the any reason I can't just switch to the new one & leave the old one there for records? It looks like my repor...

Re: Current Pay Period Not in End of Pay Period

I think I have the server problem resolved. I also have daily database backups. I was thinking I could just restore from the previous week & re enter the weeks punches of the last week. Well, two weeks I guess.

Re: Current Pay Period Not in End of Pay Period

Two. We use the punches to track time on jobs. I was having problems with hard locks on the server which required me to use the power button to restart. I'm thinking it's what caused this. We've been using it this way for a couple of years without seeing this problem.

Re: Current Pay Period Not in End of Pay Period

I see that the original schedule has a problem that it's Friday to Friday. The edit screen shows Friday to Thursday, but the view screen has Friday to Friday.

Re: Current Pay Period Not in End of Pay Period

Yes I can see the punches in the old pay period schedule. So I guess it's not working. I'm not getting any punches when I import. I followed the directions in the link exactly as they are written.

But there are no punches because we don't use them. Is there another way to tell? This was my original question.
