ADP Export Not Working
Under Report > Payroll > Payroll Export I can select Export Format: Paychex, Quickbooks, Manual/Excel and then click the Export button and get my export data. However when I select Export Format: ADP (any of the 3) and click Export button it shows Processing... and then no export file is downloaded....

Re: 10.1.0 PHP/Postgres out of date??
I'm using TimeTex Community Version 10.0.4 manually installed. It automatically upgraded without prompting from a previous version. PHP version is 5.3.3 on Linux.

maintenance jobs not running on a regular basis
How can I fix this manually? The cron job was not running due to a glitch on the server. That has since been fixed. The pay periods had not run since January. Now the cron has been running for a few hours and ONE new pay period has been created. How can I accelerate this and make it catch up quicker...

10.1.0 PHP/Postgres out of date??
My system just auto-updated to 10.0.4 in the middle of the day without asking. I can not restore from a previous backup because new data has been added to the database. Also I can not just upgrade the server to a different OS. What is the best way to get rid of these messages? I also have a message ...

Invalid DBError
This is not the first time I see this. You login to timetrex (how does it login if the database is down!?) then whatever you click you get a "DBError." Still not sure what the cause is, but here's how I reproduced it: 1) Turn on server, run a report, shut down. 2) Turn on server a few week...

LDAP working with minor hack
The issue seems that my LDAP server will not bind against the uid, it needs a full DN e.g givenName=John,sn=Doe,ou=Users,dc=something,dc=com and of course "TimeTrex doesn't support encrypted passwords" so I added one line of code that takes care of that. In: classes/modules/core/TTLDAP.cla...

Re: Pay period status N/A - There are no pay periods past?
Apache runs as wwwrun, but I can't run cron jobs as wwwrun for whatever reason. I looked at another install that's been running for 2+ years and it also has the cron running as root. No issues there. It works as root, your instructions are wrong. It's probably safer to run the cron as root than to c...

Re: Pay period status N/A - There are no pay periods past?
The issue appears to be following the installer's instructions. All our files are owner root, so I don't see what is the permissions issue running the cron job as root. Our system (openSUSE 11.4) won't run su -c "wwwrun"
I've updated the cron job and I'll post back in a few days.

Re: Pay period status N/A - There are no pay periods past?
It's a manual installation and the crontabs are set to run: # crontab -l # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE - edit the master and reinstall. # (/tmp/crontab.XXXXQlDCSa installed on Mon Apr 25 20:58:01 2011) # (Cron version V5.0 -- $Id: crontab.c,v 1.12 2004/01/23 18:56:42 vixie Exp $) * * * * * su wwwrun -c &q...

Hardware Interface
How can I discover how the TimeTrex hardware (link: http://www.timetrex.com/hardware.php ) interfaces with the TimeTrex software?
I am interested in the possibility of using 3rd party hardware. Since timetrex is open source, this should be no issue, right?

Re: Alternate Hardware?
I think it will work, I got timetrex standard edition to install as enterprise edition, but there are missing files so I can't really test it. Without the Timetrex enterprise edition I can't say for sure. It would be nice if TimeTrex would be a little more open. I might have bought the enterprise ed...

Re: Does TimeTrex dial home?
How do we disable this? I was already aware of Google paralytics and have disabled it on all our installations... but how do disable all the other phone home activity in TimeTrex?

Alternate Hardware?
My co-worker came across the Fingerprint Time & Attendance System, the specifications are eerily similar to the TimeTrex TTA8.
I am wondering:
1) Is there any customized firmware in the TTA8?
2) Will this work with TimeTrex Business?

During a security audit of a firm that uses TimeTrex we discovered Google Analytics code in the login screen. In the process of removing the offending code I discovered: {* REMOVING OR CHANGING THIS LOGO IS IN STRICT VIOLATION OF THE LICENSE AGREEMENT *} <img src="{$IMAGES_URL}powered_by.jpg&qu...
