Re: 941 report not displaying accurately
I added the account type as a selected item within the circle icon menu. But then what? Also this was in my original post: Is it possible for field 1 to display the employees that have wages attached to them? For example I have 2 employees who are just administrators and do not actually receive wage...

Re: 941 report not displaying accurately
Hey shaun, thanks for the reply. So I adjusted them as you suggested and I am getting an amount now, however is my setup correct? Is the "Social Security Taxes Withheld" account by default in timetrex "Total deductions"? Here is a new screenshot of the setup and one of the report...

941 report not displaying accurately
I have always done the 941 calculations manually after exporting the pay period data to excel however I decided to try the 941 form and it seems it is not working as it should. Product Edition: Community Version: 7.4.8 Tax Engine Version: 1.0.28 Tax Data Version: 20150101 Registration Key: 13fefb8e2...

Re: Paystubs generated in another language
Actually I found another issue while I was trying to troubleshoot this. Using the HTML5 interface the languages settings do not save. I tried logging in and out multiple times and making sure the language selected upon login was set to english and sure enough as soon as I logged in, it would initial...

Paystubs generated in another language
I am using v 7.4.7 and the language settings for myself are set to English. When I generate paystubs the paystub PDF comes out in Spanish. It shows DECLARACION DE GANANCIAS Y DEDUCCIONES and everything else is in Spanish. I do have 1 employee who has his language settings set to Spanish and he is in...

Re: Default to new v5.0 interface?
Yeah that's an alternative. It just seems like users wouldn't do that because they are used to the same steps to clock in and out, even though the new interface appears easier to use.

Default to new v5.0 interface?
I upgraded my TT install recently to try out the new interface design. Is there a way to make it the default interface? Currently you need to click on " Try our new TimeTrex v5.0 interface!" button to use it.

Re: What does your company do if an employee misses punches?
Yes, what I am asking is what management procedures you guys are using for implementing.
Shaun I agree, the hardware device helps, but its very pricey! I have made a PC easily available to them just for punching in and out.

What does your company do if an employee misses punches?
I have a recurring problem in my small business in which employees constantly miss punches. It could be their Normal in punch, their lunch in, normal out, or any combination of them. For months I have been patient and have made them do requests for the missed punches, and manually adjusting them bas...

Re: Remove minimum license quantity for business edition
Thanks Shaun. If I may take it one step further, although I realize I am bound to receive a lot of criticism and possibly upfront denial. I would suggest removing all of the different editions, and solely providing one true community edition for free. Yes, free . While the TimeTrex team may find the...

Remove minimum license quantity for business edition
I have been using TimeTrex for the past year or so and it has been working great. I really would love to use some of the Business edition features, but have held back on upgrading due to the license minimum. I think I am not alone when I say the majority of small businesses are probably in the 1-10 ...

Re: Employees mis-punching their punch type
You can define meals by time window or by punch time. If you do it by punch time, if the employees punch out for 30-60 minutes it defaults it to a lunch punch, no matter when they actually leave for lunch. Really your only two options are to have the employees tell TimeTrex what they are doing, or ...

Re: Pay period closed but it is the current pay period?
You can setup meal policies to automatically detect when employees should be taking lunch, so they don't have to select anything. Yes and if for example they don't take lunch on a particular day, will it skip those hours set to auto detect and jump to a ''normal out'' at the end of the day 5-6pm? I...

Modify a closed pay period?
An employee pointed out an error in a punch and I wanted to modify it to adjust his paycheck accordingly.
What is the proper way to adjust a closed pay period?
NOTICE: This pay period is currently closed, modifications are not permitted. is the message I receive.

Re: Pay period closed but it is the current pay period?
It depends on which day you have selected on the timesheet. For example if the pay period ends on Tuesday, if Mon/Tue is selected it may show the pay period as being closed, but if Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun are selected it may show the pay period as being open, even though its all the same week. I will d...

Pay period closed but it is the current pay period?
As an administrator (not employee), I notice the error in the My Timesheet: NOTICE: This pay period is currently closed, modifications are not permitted. Randomly an employee might ask me to edit their punch due to a mistake or something and I am still able to change it however even with this messag...

Shaun, Actually no, I am not seeing the red error message above and that's why at first I thought the issue was resolved. (both yesterday and today). I am not sure if my friend changed a setting from yesterday to today, but right now that pay period I wanted to close yesterday is now available to be...

Re: Pay period status N/A - There are no pay periods past?
Id like to give an update:
After the maintenance jobs ran the 2 weeks I had been waiting to close were shown and able to close. However the latest one again shows NA; yes the transaction date is passed already.
I am currently just running a report instead of a proper end of payroll process.

Re: Pay period status N/A - There are no pay periods past?
When the maintenance jobs aren't working correctly, things may seem fine, but its like driving a car with a bomb strapped underneath, you don't know the bomb is there, but at any given time it is likely to explode. Big red error messages on every screen are critical and need to be fixed immediately...
