Improved Report Sharing
I love the ability to share a report... But... (lol) When you share a report, it seems that it effectively just makes a copy of that report available to the other person. The only issue with that method is when the report needs to be changed for whatever reason it has to be RE shared with anyone who...

Tiled "windows"
I love being able to (for example) be looking at a request, then click on the "Schedule" button and be taken directly to that employee's schedule on the date in the request... However, I better be sure to write down or remember any info from the request, because the request "minimizes...

GPS Data Icon on timesheets
We just recently upgraded from the community edition to the Professional edition. One of the advantages for us is the phone apps. Being able to punch from a smart phone is wonderful, and the managers love that the punches include location data. However, looking at an employee timesheet, there is not...

Re: Showing duplicate accrual policies
I will get it installed and let you know.
The issue doesn't appear to be affecting the calculations or application of accruals.. I just thought it was odd, and I could see it becoming a mess n a hurry if we needed to make a change to an accrual policy.

Showing duplicate accrual policies
I noticed something odd today. I went to look at the accrual policies (There should just be two, vacation and sick) and there were 45... There are 11 "Sick" policies, and the remaining 34 are "Vacation". They all appear to be duplicates of the actual "Sick" or "Vac...

Re: Average hours worked per week report?
Thanks! I figured there was a lot more there, and that is part of the reason I asked. All I knew was the one report she was specifically asking about right that moment.. As soon as she mentioned the affordable care act, I figured there would be more to come! As always, thanks for all the wonderful w...

Average hours worked per week report?
I'm translating this from our none too tech savvy human resources lady, so.... She is asking about a report that will show average number of hours worked per week by employee. I haven't been able to find anything that shows an average... But showed her how to spit out a .csv file that she can easily...

Rounding "error" report??
We have a rounding policy in place (Daily total to nearest :15, but it shouldn't matter for this question...) One of the HR people want to know if there is any way to pull a report showing the amount of time lost or gained due to the rounding policy... In other words, if an employee's true time work...

Re: Error installing community edition 7.0
Sorry for the big delay in responding... I just thought I'd add some final notes on my case: Turns out that the tech responsible for installing the upgrade failed to "Unblock" the downloaded installer. Once I unblocked the installer, and made sure to ru it with full privileges, the update ...

Re: database for TimeTrex
I'm more familiar with the windows version (I have installed on*buntu once, just for future reference, and to make sure the database restore from windows to linux and vice-versa would work properly {it does!} and because I would prefer to have it running on linux, but all of the available servers I ...

Re: Error installing community edition 7.0
OK... Got it going. I did have to install the x86 version of VC++ 2008 (same link you already posted). At that point, the installation NEARLY completed. all worked except installing and starting the apache service. was getting an error that msvcr100.dll was missing. So I also installed VC++ 2010 (at...

Re: Error installing community edition 7.0
Ahh.. I did download the x64 versions of the VC++ runtimes...
I'm not sure if I will have time to try again today, but I will install the 32 bit versions manually, and give it another try. I'll keep you posted! (And thanks!)

Re: Error installing community edition 7.0
Just FYI - I knew it was a longshot, but all the info I could find on the errors in the eventlog pointed to re-installing MS Visual C++ runtimes, so I went through and un-/re-/ installed VC++ 2005, 2008, 2008 SP1, and 2010 redistributables, retrying the TimeTrex 7.0 installer each step along the way...

Re: Error installing community edition 7.0
Sorry for the delay... It's been a crazy week. But I finally got to try installing 7.0 from the link you posted, and am still getting the exact same errors. (Also with the same results vegastech posted, unable to open localhost after the install also) I've rolled back to 5.3.3 again for now. let me ...

Error installing community edition 7.0
I figured I'd take advantage of the holiday to upgrade from TimeTrex 5.3.3 standard edition to the new Community edition 7.0. Got errors while upgrading, so I figured I'd do a full backup, uninstall 5.3.3, then do a clean installation of 7.0. I got the exact same errors (images below) during install...

Re: Handling re-hires and switch from part- to full-time
I know when setting up an employee, TimeTrex will not allow you to enter any punches prior to the hire date entered for that employee. That is why I was guessing that it wouldn't allow me to change the hire date after the fact. I will setup a test employee, add some punches, etc.. then try changing ...

Handling re-hires and switch from part- to full-time
I was just wondering if you had any advice no handling re-hires, and employees moving from part- to full-time. In the case of switching from part-time to full-time, our part-time employees don't (for example) earn vacation or sick pay. Once they become full-time employees, of course they do. All of ...

Re: Rounding Policy issues
I was afraid of that. :D I have considered setting up multiple rounding policies (and thus, matching policy groups) as another workaround. I don't like the added complexity that creates (since the policy group an employee would be assigned to would then be dependent on what shift they work, departme...

Today was end-of pay period day, so I will need to wait to send you an "unadulterated" screenshot of the midnight wrap-around issue ( Found it by looking through the audit trail, since we had manually fixed them). I will post one for you on Monday. I should also have a better idea of wheth...

Re: Rounding Policy issues
A little more info: at least with the midnight wrap-arounds it appears that this is what is happening: -Employee is schedules 11p-7a. -employee clocks IN at 11:03p, -the out punch at 7:00a is rounded properly to 7:03a, -but on the timesheet (with the midnight punched added) this shows up as 0:57 on ...

Rounding Policy issues
We have run across a couple of instances where the rounding policy we have in place is not being applied, and I wanted to ask for help getting it resolved. TimeTrex On-Site 5.2.4 We only have one rounding policy in place to round daily total hours to nearest :15 What we have noticed happenning is: 1...
