Re: Punches duplicating
They appear to be transfer punches, which is where TimeTrex punches them out of one branch/department and into another at the exact time time. Is the employee clicking the "Transfer" checkbox when they punch in/out by chance?

That message appears to be related to a 3rd party extension or application (IDM), as such it is outside the scope of TimeTrex itself. I would recommend that you contact the supplier of that software instead for further assistance, or disable it.

Re: Status Holiday
Holiday Policies tell TimeTrex which days are holidays, and what to do when an employee does not work on a holiday. When an employee does work on a holiday, that is usually considered overtime, so you can use a Overtime Policy of type "Holiday" for those cases.

Payroll -> Remittance Sources, edit the source account, then you can define the ACH file format there, and provide settings required by your bank under the "Advanced" tab. Only settings that are required by your bank need to be filled out, so your bank will provide those to you.

Re: Direct Deposit
Yes, TimeTrex can handle direct deposit without your bank being involved from a cash management perspective, or having to upload EFT/ACH files.
However, it is not functionality that is available in the Community Edition and unfortunately not a service currently offered to single employee companies.

If TD bank allows you to upload EFT files for direct deposit purposes, there should be no problem sending money from it to your CIBC bank account (or any others). However said EFT service from banks usually requires speaking to their Cash Management department and can often cost hundreds of dollars ...

Did you happen to change the "host" setting under the [database] section? If so, that is the wrong one, you want to change the "hostname" setting under the [other] section near the bottom of the file.

You need to be logged into your system as the "root" user (or use the 'sudo' tool), then you should be able to access any and all files.

Sorry, I don't understand why you are trying to change the ownership of a file when the original issue you mentioned was the hostname not matching. This seems like two completely separate issues? Can you please clarify?

Re: How to get to timetrex.ini.php
The location depends on how you installed TimeTrex specifically. Though a permission denied error would lead me to believe the file exists where you think it is, so perhaps try using "sudo" to edit it instead.

Are you unzipping the file on your local computer then uploading them too your server? If so, they are likely getting corrupted in the file transfer process. Try downloading the .ZIP file directly to your server and unzipping it there instead.
