Is it ok if I add an employee record in the employee table within the timetrex database manually? So I would just login to the mysql server and add a record to the employee table. I got it to work. I changed the database type "mysqld" to "mysql" and it works now. It is now giving me the install pages. Thanks for your help Shaun
