Are you able to remove the UTF-8 characters from the information displayed on the report? That would be the easiest approach.

If that is not an option, you would have to modify the source code to force all PDF's into UTF-8 mode all the time.

Ya, it sounds like a character encoding issue, if your language is set to English it only uses ASCII and not UTF-8 as its much faster. You will need to use some other language than English to have it switch to using UTF-8.

Did you recalculate the employees timesheet after adding their wage?

Go to Payroll -> Pay Stub Amendments, delete them, then regenerate the pay stub in question.

Languages other than English are translated by the community. Unfortunately, the Italian translation wasn't being maintained so it had to be removed.

The paid Professional Edition of TimeTrex has punch importing and auto-punch schedules so salaried employees don't have to punch in/out at all.

That error message is not the cause, but simply the result of another error happening before it. My guess is you have modified the pay period dates after the employees entered time on their timesheet. In the employee record, under the "Wage" tab, make sure you have specified an Annual or Monthly Salary wage, rather than hourly.

As for vacation, to disable it completely, just unassign yourself from all Vacation Tax/Deduction records.

Its possible the pay period was automatically closed, which happens if its more than a few days passed the pay period transaction date.

If there is no data in the pay period, no need to do anything to it, just move on to the next pay period.

What is the End Date of the pay period, and on what date did you attempt to process payroll for it originally?
