That's an understandable consideration. I guess I wasn't thinking about in the case of an upgrade.
Where is the best place to get started in using the TimeTrex API and doing what I have described?

from browsing through the database after some recent punches it looks like creating a punch seems to modify the exception, punch, punch_control, user_date, and user_date_total tables and maybe system_log, unless thats updated automagically(by a trigger maybe)... please feel free to verify or correct...

creating a local app to handle punches
I'm considering creating a local app to handle/control punches and interact directly with the timetrex database. Right now I'm looking for some pointers and direction in how I might accomplish this without affecting any timetrex functions or scheduled tasks; my app would be transparent to timetrex. ...

However, when you remove them from their normal schedule policy, won't that remove any exceptions that would have been flagged for that day as the exceptions are tied to the schedule policy if I remember right? So, if that is the case then I guess the suggestion would be to create an identical sched...

If you change the schedule policy and that policy is tied to multiple employees won't that affect all those employees when you only want to exclude the meal policy for the one employee? Although this is not ideal either, would clicking on the total time for that day and adding another entry into the...

removing auto-deducted time for lunch for a certain day
We have an auto-deduct meal policy set up. On occasion however, an employee may be approved by a supervisor to work through lunch and not take one for their shift on that day. The meal policy of course will auto-deduct for that day (30 mins) however in this special circumstance the 30mins needs to b...

I sent an email with the sections in the log that included AccrualPolicyFactory::addAccrualPolicyTime() from the 13th to the 16th. The other two accrual policies I mentioned earlier were applied today on the 16th. The pay period ended yesterday on the 15th. Why would one policy accrue on the 13th an...

ok, the previous errors that were seen earlier seem to have been corrected. Employees employed time seem to be calculated correctly and one of the accrual policies actually accrued but 2 days before the pay period was up. Is that normal? However, only one of the three accrual policies I have set up ...

I think you may have gotten the punches mixed up. Starting normally, we punch in, out, in, out. Type doesn't matter here, only what the status of the last punch was. If the last punch was In, the next one would be Out, whether it is normal, lunch or break that does not matter. So, I think if you cha...

service length | rate/yr | total max 6 months |40 hours | 80 hours 3 years | 80 hours | 120 hours 5 years | 120 hours | 160 hours Will the other milestones be affected or offset (like the accrual of their first 40 hrs in 1.5 yrs as you explain) by the 6 months? Or will the employee begin accruing 80...

Yeah, I'm sure about the 180. Most current employees have a number of years working since their hire date so they should be accruing. I haven't found the accruals to work for anyone thus far. The milestones for one of the main policies are: service length | rate/yr | total max 6 months |40 hours | 8...

1. Clearly state what is happening, or what isn't happening that you feel should. If there are any error messages include the FULL EXACT error message. Accrual policies are not accruing at all. They should accrue every pay period. 2. Clearly state the EXACT steps you took before the issue occurred, ...

using version 2.2.12 On the recurring schedule template list, when selecting one of the recurring schedules (check box) and then clicking copy, I get sent to a blank white page and it does not seem to work. accruals not being applied
using Timetrex 2.2.12 I have setup up accrual policies for vacation and sick days to accrue based on calender days/years and have assigned those to policy groups with employees assigned to those respective groups. It has been setup like this for over a month, more than a couple pay periods (frequenc...

The holiday policy does not include paid absence time as days worked when setting up "Employee must work at least X of the last X days. Is this by design? Example situation: Holiday is on a monday. Employee works previous week, 5 of 7 days and week previous to that took paid vacation 5 of 7 day...

Running the command manually is what most likely removed the warning about maintenance tasks. I would venture to say that you will see this problem again until your cronjob is setup correctly which i think is still an issue from what you have explained trying so far. One thing to check is on the Hel...
