Re: Problem Updating to Latest Version
My guess is you didn't follow the onscreen instructions once the executable installed finished, as that is only phase 1... Phase 2 is to run the TimeTrex installer through your web-browser to complete the upgrade process. There should be a "TimeTrex Installer" icon in your start menu (und...

Problem Updating to Latest Version
We tried to install an upgrade patch to the latest version a couple weeks ago. It now functions fine, but we now get this message at the top: WARNING: TimeTrex application version does not match database version. Please re-run the TimeTrex installer to complete the upgrade process. We haven't tried ...

Current Version of Timetrex?
Hello, I have version 3.1.2 I noticed on sourceforge that the version is now 3.2.1, but I didn't get the typical red flag under the help section which let me know that there was an update available. When I press the button for "About TimeTrex" that states "Check for Updates" I ge...

Re: Upgrading from 2.22.21 to Most Recent
Have you tried the restore without modifying the restore_database.bat at all? Does it still fail? Assuming you didn't get far enough into the installation process to have any tables created, if you remove the first 50 or so lines from your .SQL file, up to but not including this line: \connect time...

Re: Upgrading from 2.22.21 to Most Recent
Can you post the restore_database.bat file here and the first 50 lines of your .SQL file. restore_database.bat [I just uninstalled and reinstalled so I haven't changed "template1" to "timetrex"] @echo off SET PGPASSWORD=2de8176f7 SET PGDATABASE=timetrex IF "%1" == &quo...

For clarification, I only saw one instance of "template1" that I had to replace.JeffersonKim wrote:Yes.shaunw wrote:Did you modify the new restore_database.bat file as described in the thread you linked to?
I think there's some sort of password incompatibility issue.

Upgrading from 2.22.21 to Most Recent
Yes, I know I haven't upgraded for over two years. I tried following this post and am now installing a fresh install on a new machine: http://forums.timetrex.com/viewtopic.php?p=6573#p6573 So I did a fresh install on a new machine, and quit after seeing the terms and conditions. I tried running Rest...

Scheduling an Automatic Backup
Does anyone know how to schedule an automatic backup of the database?
Also, I think I messed up by database_backup.bat or whatever it's called.
Could someone post the code?

Props to Mike Benoit on making it work from the paid tech support. It turns out I used an old version of backup_database.bat to make my SQL backup. So when I was trying to use the above listed restore_database.bat there was a database mismatch which caused my problems. Mike had to remote into my com...

You could also check in the dump file for something along the lines of: CREATE LANGUAGE Then remove the entire line. Though this could cause other problems too, make sure you have a copy of the dump file before modifying it. Thanks. That seemed to had worked and concurs with what Mike from tech sup...

Unfortunately none of those are actual errors, they are just stating that an error occurred earlier and the transaction was aborted. If you can copy and paste the first error that occurred it would help. Also make sure you are restoring to a completely clean/fresh database, otherwise errors will oc...

I'm getting this error when utilizing the restore_database.bat It's a 11 MB sql dump. I tried doing a copy and paste of what was coming up as it scrolled through quickly and there's much more of these items in a similar pattern.
