Re: ubuntu 18.04 - php errors on installing community edition.

tried using php 5.6, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2 here are the logs on 7.2 all were similar. Reading package lists... Building dependency tree... Reading state information... Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distrib...

Re: ubuntu 18.04 - php errors on installing community edition.

Apparently a lot of modules are no longer in PHP7.2 so I'm researching using an earlier vesion of PHPattempting to install any of the modules that error gives E: unable to locate package php-zip or php7.2-zip or any of the others.

ubuntu 18.04 - php errors on installing community edition.

due to a disk crash. I obtained a new drive and installed Ubuntu Server 18.o4 from scratch. I then installed Postgresql and PHP 7.2. I can now log in to Postgres and create and access a database locally on the server. After this I moved Timetrex_Community_Edition.deb file to /var/cache/apt/archives ...

After more following logs and error messages I have got to where I accept the License agreement on install and get:

Local cache has expired. Click OK to reload.

When I click OK it goes back to the license agreement.

Attached is the timetrex.log file

Re: new server timetrex saying it cannot connect to database

Finally since I still have the backup of the original timetrex install on Ubuntu 14.04 I decided to install the zip of the latest release, 10.0.2 and run the install.php. I had to change the permissions on several files from root:root to www-data:www-data after the overwrite. It gave this. I repeat ...

new server timetrex saying it cannot connect to database

Because Ubuntu 12.04 LVM couldn't upgrade due to space issues & timetrex updates wouldn't install so I installed 16.o4 on another drive. The /var/www/html/timetrex is an exact copy of the original and the database Postgresql 9.5.0 has the timetrex db restored to it. I can login to postgres using psq...

Re: PHP 5.6

I hit this issue when upgrading Ubuntu server from 14.10 to 15.04 which automatically updates PHP to 5.6.4-ubuntu6 among other things. Startup also found a bad link trying to run pg_ctl. The latter I got round by manually running 'sudo ctl_cluster 9.3 main start'. Fortunately my timetrex needs are s...

Upgrade 32-bit to 64 bit

I'm upgraduing an ubuntu server from 32 to 64 bit (12.04 to 14.04 also).
I have the /var and /home paths on a separate drive and have proven this works even changing Ubuntu to Debian. the timetrex install is on /var/www/timetrex.
Can I upgrade the timetrex install from 32 bit to 64 bit also?

Re: Error after log in (TimeTrex system requirement check ha

I get this every week = I installed using the automatic install and each week have to clean the var/www/cache Linux Server folder (I installed timetrex to /var/www) The permissions for that folder are assigned to the User for timetrex.

This is really aggrevating

Re: No tax calulation for the first employee in Alphabetic O

OK I have this install on Ubuntu Server 12.04
Upgrading it insists I install as a regular user and not roo then it complains it can't change permissions to 040775 in all directories.
What do I do to resolve this?

I currently have Version 5.2.2 installed from the .bin file on an Ubuntu Server v12.04 I'm now prepared to upgrade but when I log in to pgsql it does NOT show a TimeTrex Database. Re: No tax calulation for the first employee in Alphabetic O

Thanks but with our few employees the legacy interface lets me easily enter, for each, "she worked 'x' hours this week" the new interface insists on Start time end time entries. This for employees that work 30+ hours a week is a royal pain. I'll stick to what I have until I locate something better o...
