Re: Timetrex not responding on upgrade to Ubuntu Server 12.1

All I did was upgrade the OS Timetrex was already installed. But I did just notice it says it's running both Postgres server 8.4 and Postgres server 9.1. Could this be a conflict there?

Re: Timetrex not responding on upgrade to Ubuntu Server 12.1

OK next trick I unzipped all the files again and set the timetrex.ini.php to installer_enabled = TRUE
Going to the installer screen it showed the url as:
http://timberoakspetspa/timetrex/interf ... nstaller=0

then froze blank no errors

Re: Timetrex not responding on upgrade to Ubuntu Server 12.1

OK I went into Postgres and connected to my timetrex database. So I'm guessing wthout tring to check every table that it's not Postgres.
So I should be able to just reinstall timetres as though I were doing a normal upgrade keeping my timetrex.ini.php as usual. No?

Re: Timetrex not responding on upgrade to Ubuntu Server 12.1

It was installed from the Zip file.
I'll check the error logs if I can find them ;) but other PHP pages are working which is why I wondered about Posgresql.

Re: Timetrex not responding on upgrade to Ubuntu Server 12.1

FUrther checking - trying to connect from a Windows machine gives a HTTP 500 Internal Server error
Could it be something to do with the Postgres needing action after the upgrade?

I have 2 employees who are claiming 'Exempt' on their W4 forms.

What is the correct way to handle this within TimeTrex?

Using postgres on .zip install tp Ubuntu Server

I set up my ubuntu server 11.04 with LAMP then installed php-GD extensions, php-pear and postgres8. I then installed Timetrex 3.5.1 from the .zip file and changed the timetrex.ini.php to use postgres8. It still gives me the mySQL 25 user limit warning despite the mysqli line being commented out. I'm...

Re: How to back up the database on Ubuntu

I reinstalled 3.0.8 from the bin.

Restored my database using -h -p -U with Hostname Port and Username

Had to reset the User password to get in and all recovered.

So now I can just run the latest bin (after backing up the database) and it should update OK?

Re: How to back up the database on Ubuntu

As I said above My install was using the Zip file. I had previously tried the automated installer but it didn't work correctly and you advised me to use the Zip. I have a TimeTrex folder with those files dated Sept 18 through Sept 30th from that automated install attempt but my current install is in...

Ref my last post. Doesn't the result I'm getting suggest that PostgreSQL server is not running? If so how is TimeTrex accessing it?

Re: How to back up the database on Ubuntu

Except that I get this:

sudo psql
psql: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
Is the server running locally and accepting
connections on Unix domain socket "/var/run/postgresql/.s.PGSQL.5432"?

How to back up the database on Ubuntu

In preparation for an upgrade I wish to back up my TimeTrex Postgresql database but nowhere do I see instructions for doing this.

I have the timetrex.ini.php etc.

How does one backup and if neccesary restore the database?

O/S is Ubuntu 10.10

Re: TimeTrex login error after Ubuntu upgrade to 10.10

I attempt to log in. If I use an invalid UserID or password it behaves exactly as it should. If I use a correct User ID and password it goes to the URL: http://localhost:8085/interface/DownFor ... on=DBError which displays: TimeTrex is unable to connect to its database, please make sure that the dat...

Re: TimeTrex login error after Ubuntu upgrade to 10.10

http://localhost:8085/interface/Login.php.
I enter a valid login and password.
Then click Submit
Oh invalid Username or password gives what I would consider a correct failure to log in.

Re: postgres fails on reboot after successful install

The command in the crontab is:
su root -c "php /var/www/TimeTrex/timetrex/classes/modules/core/../../../maint/cron.php" > /dev/null 2>&1

I replaced with the line in the install_cron which seems to work. Thanks
