Re: Getting all types of absences through the API
You can search by almost any field that it returns.
You can find the specific filter criteria in the code itself: UserDateTotalListFactory->getAPISearchByCompanyIdAndArrayCriteria()

Re: Getting all types of absences through the API
API approach is definitely the one to take. If you provide us with the exact error message you are receiving, it would be helpful.

Re: Getting all types of absences through the API
What is that you are trying to achieve exactly? If you are wanting to retrieve time worked and absence time, often its easiest to use a report like TimeSheetDetail instead. APIUserDateTotal->getUserDateTotal() is definitely an API call you can make assuming you are logged in with the proper permissi...

Re: Paying taxes and Hand writing checks
TimeTrex does not pay taxes for you automatically, it simply tells you how much you need to pay.
As far handwriting checks, it will tell you what amount to write on the check and you can handwrite them that way as well.

Re: Need Linux installer for an old version community edition
If you are using v12.x, as long as your system meets the minimum system requirements (ie: PHP v8.0) you should be able to just download the latest TimeTrex version and perform an upgrade.
Unfortunately we do not offer downloads for older versions.

Once they have taxes deducted at least once in the year it will show as $0. Until then though, it doesn't appear at all.

Re: Federal Income Taxes (2020 W4)
Each form version uses different tax formulas, so what is the employees martial status and taxable earnings on the pay stub you are generating? If its a relatively low amount its possible they haven't met the threshold for having taxes taken off with the 2020 version W4.

Re: "APIUser" requires authentication, and not currently authenticated.
Your API key is likely not correct or registered anymore. I changed your example script to point to our public demo and used a registration key from it and worked perfectly. If you enable diagnostic logging in TimeTrex and check your server logs, (as described here: https://forums.timetrex.com/viewt...

Only the latest version of TimeTrex is supported, so we don't offer downloads for older versions. v12.2.1 is extremely old and we highly recommend upgrading to the latest version.

There was an issue with v16.3.1 which was fixed in v16.3.2 released shortly after, so that version should work fine for you.

There is an issue with the auto-update system, it should be corrected within 1-2 days. In theory you shouldn't need to do anything and it will resolve itself.
If its not resolved by Monday please let us know here.

Re: upgrade from 16.1.3 to 16.3.0
TimeTrex requires PHP v8.0 or newer, since you are running v7.4, automatic updates are failing. Using the .deb will not install dependencies that are not available on your Ubuntu version. Therefore you will need to manually upgrade to PHP v8.0 using 3rd party .deb repos, or update your Ubuntu to 22....

Re: Using TimeTrex CE in Jamaica
We have 2 business entities (1 with about 6 employees and the other with 15). Can both be managed in a single install of the program or do we need to have a separate installation for each? You would need to upgrade to the Professional Edition to support multiple legal entities or multiple companies...

Re: Form 940 not populating correctly
You must have a Tax/Deduction setup for "US - Federal Unemployment Insurance" that is assigned to employees and has been calculated on pay stubs for the prior year. If you attach a screenshot of Payroll -> Tax/Deductions, that will help.
