The recurring schedule module was redesigned in TimeTrex v9.0 and the auto-punch feature never made it back into the Community Edition. It is however still available in the commercial versions of TimeTrex.

Please check your Exceptions Policies and make sure that Under Daily Scheduled Time (S8) is Enabled and that the proper Exception Policies are assigned to Policy Group(s). It's likely that the employee created a bookmark specifying a date range that is defaulted to when they are logged in.
To resolve the issue have the employee experiencing the problem click MyAccount -> Log Out and then save the resulting Login Screen as a bookmark.
