You can use the "Accruals By Account/Type/Employee" Template with a customized Accrual Balance Summary Report which can be located by clicking Report -> TimeSheet Reports

Correct. If you want to change the Week date range shown in your screenshot under Accumulated Time adjust Calendar Starts On which can be located by clicking either My Account -> Preferences or Employee -> Preferences

If I understand correctly, click Report -> Time Sheet Reports and from the drop-down menu select either TimeSheet Summary or TimeSheet Detail. Yes Absolutely. After clicking Report -> TimeSheet Reports -> TimeSheet Detail, select Custom Dates from the Time Period Section drop-down box.

Please choose one of the employees experiencing the schedule problem. Edit and Save their Recurring Schedule without making any changes and then let us know if that resolves your issue.

Can you go to Attendance -> Recurring Schedules and send us an uncropped screenshot of that screen? Also include an uncropped screenshot of Attendance -> Schedules showing the shifts that are missing.

The News dashlet is not a way to communicate with employees, its a way for TimeTrex itself to communicate with employees.
To communicate with your employees within TimeTrex you can use Messages which can be found by clicking My Account -> Messages
