TimeTrex Time and Attendance

so my question really boils down to do i finish the install the full way then go though a do a update to merge the old database. or do i stop after i verified everything is ready for the install.

the only reason im asking this question is b/c i do not want to go far is there a screen shot of this process where i need to top.

it says to however pause on the final step of the installation procedure where it asks you to launch the web browser to complete the installation.

is this before or after the database configuration?

i also made sure every file for timetrex has 777 permissions so there is no way its a permissions issues

i have tired to use ip vs localhost both fail out on me. i would post log info but idk where its going to where to look

in that file path i have a blank cache folder

i fixed this issue i was missing mod for apache2 for php

so just an update on the php issue i have created a simple php test where it would displace hello world that worked just fine. iam also able to view and do what i need to on the forms from the server.

i have uninstalled and reinstalled apache/php/postgresql nothing changed still same screen.

ok i will uninstall php and reinstall see if that fixes it

update i can access http://localhost but i cant get the localhost:8085/interface/install/install.php to work

this is all me trying to get the initial setup ready so i can install timetrex on a brand new server. the readme gives very little detail on what is needed to get this running.if there is a better step by step or something to help someone out who has no idea what they are doing to set this up or not...

the firewall is disabled
timetrex in order to install u have to able to access localhost/filepath that's the part i'm trying to do.

i have also verified i have all the stuff needed php,apache,postgresql they are all installed with the latest versions out on the market right now. this is a new server to replace our existing timetrex server.

when i got to localhost:8085/interface/install/install.php i get and error unable to connect
firewall is disabled. local network doesnt block 8085

im not sure how to get this to work i have followed everything on the readme. im just stuck at this point any help would be greatly appriacted

how would i go about moving the software from a linux box over to windows without any data loss or file corruption.

i am unable to download the latest version b/c i haven't received the email can someone please help me with is.

is there a way i can do the update and test it without it reaching to a live network where i can view and test the update before making the system live. also where is the web address link default location?

I was wondering what kind of down time or possible data loss could and would result in with doing a live update.
