Error when trying to setup Timetrek. The first thing I did was turn off the computer firewall and open the port in the router. That didn't work.

Then I checked the Apache2, and any time I try to run any .exe file it gives this error.

What version of Windows are you trying to install it on?

It is Windows 7. I turned off all of the fancy looking visual stuff.

Please ensure that you have installed all Windows updates, then try re-installing TimeTrex again after that.

The only updates not installed are the optional updates. I tried installing TimeTrex again, but it gave the same error.

This error can sometimes happen if you don't have KB2999226 installed, which prevents TimeTrex from installing other requirements needed for it to run.

Making sure that all outstanding Windows Updates (required and optional) are installed is usually the easiest way to resolve such issues.
