Copying the same version from the old server to a new server

we had to upgrade the server from 2008 to 2016r2,
we are running timetrex version 7.4.7, we copied over all the files and the db, onto the new server, but when we try to log in on the new server, it says the users not a valid username and password.
when we installed it, it did not ask us to set an admin user/password.
any help would be much appreciated.
