Premium Policy not calculating on Holiday

Post by Yajasi »

Using version 8.0.6 CE on Ubuntu 14.04.

We have the following Timesheet which has a holiday on April 3rd.
PROBLEM: An Overtime policy and a Premium policy both apply to this day, however the Premium policy is not being calculated.

Here is the Overtime Policy. There are no settings on the Differential Criteria tab because we are using the CE version of TimeTrex.

Here is the Premium Policy.

QUESTION: Why is the Premium Policy not being applied to the day in question?

It appears that the Premium Policy is being calculated on the day after the holiday, but the overtime policy is being calculated on the holiday as it should, is that correct?

No, that's not correct.

The Premium Policy is set to apply to any time worked on Saturday or Sunday, and all Holidays. This worked fine in v7, but it doesn't appear to be working in v8. If we set the the Premium Policy to be effective on M-F then, the Premium Policy gets applied whether or not the date is a Holiday, and we can't be paying employees a Premium for dates that aren't Holidays.

We need the policy to apply to any time worked on Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. Currently with the above settings, it is only getting applied on Saturday and Sunday and is seemingly ignoring the Holiday setting.

Try enabling the "Include Partial Punches" checkbox in your Premium Policy, and see if that makes any difference.

Its quite rare that you wouldn't have that selected, but I will pass this on to the developers to investigate further, its likely a bug.
