Pay Period Automatically/Force Closing

Post by roren333 »

Hi, how can we stop the automatic/forced closing of the pay periods? It says in the Audit that I was the one closing the pay periods every 12MN, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't me (:

If it's not possible to stop the forced closing, how do we know when the system will close the pay periods? After the how many days?

Appreciate any help. Thanks!

Force closing can't be stopped and in general happens about 5-7 days after the transaction date of the pay period if you don't close the pay period sooner (which of course you should be doing).

Thanks for replying.
Follow up question on that: If punches are coming in late in TimeTrex (it is connected to our own Punch In/Out application), will the data still go through TimeTrex if the pay period has closed?

Thank you!

Once a pay period is closed no modifications can be made to it unless it is manually re-opened first, that includes new punches.

Of course it doesn't make sense to have punches come in after the employees have been paid (past the the transaction date), unless you are manually making corrections.
