Lunch Time Deduction

Post by xiomai »

Hello,

Help me please how to set this up.

Employees Worktime: 08:00 - 17:00
Lunch Time is between: 11:55 - 2:05 pm and is only allowed 1 hour to take.

We manually enter their time according to their Timecards and there is only Punch in/out in the morning as well as Punch in/out in the afternoon.

Is it possible to automatically detect the lunch time within that Lunch time period but deduct if they have taken more than an hour on their allowed lunch time?

An Auto-Deduct Meal Policy should meet your needs.

For more information please see the Meal Policies section of the TimeTrex Administrator Guide:

Hi,

I have made the policy but I can't seem to make it work.

In the screenshot shown below, Nov 3 supposed to have a 15minute deduction or 7:45 Worked Time only because they are only allowed to take 1hr Lunch and the employee took a 1:15min Lunch so it should be deducted.

According to your screenshot the employee didn't punch out for lunch, because no punch has a "L" beside it denoting the punch type is "Lunch" rather than "Normal".

I thought the purpose of Auto-Detect by meals set to Time Window will do that, is it not?

Any auto-detect meal policy would do the detection at the time of the punch to default the punch type to "Lunch". Punches cannot be retroactively detected as lunch.
