user password issues

Post by jarrett125 »

hi im currently running timetrex v9.1.3 all employees are added into timetrex through a imported csv file lately since we have upgraded to the v9.1.3 we been having an issue when a new employee's account is set up the next time when they go to log in its prompting for password change it will also do that randomly to existing employee who goes to log in. there is no common factor in why its choosing random employees we do have about 15- 16 employees who error on the import due to a weak password but they are already in the system so has no effect.

Due to security reasons, TimeTrex requires employees to change their password on the first login after their account is created initially or if their password is changed by someone other than themselves. For example, if an Administrator changes an employees password for them, the first time that employee logs in, they will be asked to change it again.

i guess this kinda falls under that but not really. its the user setting there password to a csv file that gets uploaded through the import feature. but it doesn't do it to every new account made that way just some. then with no changes to a user account it makes them change it for no reason.
i knew a user account made in timetrex its self would make them reset there password. but that was about it we never had an issue with a password thats being setup through importing a csv file.
