Hi Everyone
Just wondering if someone can help. I've installed TimeTrex onto our server; however, it is only giving me the option to have it as http://localhost:portnumber any one know how I can get it to be ipaddress:8050 or even timesheets.domain.com?
Kind regards
Dale
Localhost to IP Address
Re: Localhost to IP Address
Unless you have a firewall blocking access, it should work using the IP address of the computer you installed TimeTrex on, or even a domain name that may be resolving to that same IP address. TimeTrex will answer any requests directed at it in either case.

Hi,
I managed to fix that issue. Your right it was just a firewall issue; however, is it possible to hide the IP address from visitors such as using domain timetrex.example.com?
Kind regards
Dale

Re: Localhost to IP Address
If you create a DNS record for the domain you want and point it to the IP address of your TimeTrex server, it should work.
