Working with rounding and punches and would like behavior more similar to our current solution if possible. Some issues:
- when rounding policies are changed isbthere a way to apply them to existing punches?
- when a punch is rounded the actual lunch time is always hidden. It is important where we are that the timecards that are signed show the actual punch time. But clearly calculations are with rounded punch. Is this possible?
- I don't see how to give an order to rounding policies. We need to round to nearest tenth of an hour (easy) except when beginning or end of shifts where in and out have different and non symmetric rounding and grace times greater that a tenth of an hour. So this policy would have to precede the previous one or act in place of. Can this be done?
- how can employer taxes/contributions be shown on employee pay stubs?
Thanks,
Gregory
rounding and punches
Re: rounding and punches
If you Mass Edit the punches, then save without making any changes, they will be re-rounded. This can be done from Attendance -> Punches for many employees/days if you like.- when rounding policies are changed is there a way to apply them to existing punches?
Actual Punch time is not displayed on the timesheet or reports by default. Its typically designed to be used for supervisor/managers only, as it doesn't affect the employees pay.- when a punch is rounded the actual lunch time is always hidden. It is important where we are that the timecards that are signed show the actual punch time. But clearly calculations are with rounded punch. Is this possible?
This is called Conditional Rounding Policies, and is only available in the Professional Edition of TimeTrex.- I don't see how to give an order to rounding policies. We need to round to nearest tenth of an hour (easy) except when beginning or end of shifts where in and out have different and non symmetric rounding and grace times greater that a tenth of an hour. So this policy would have to precede the previous one or act in place of. Can this be done?
Employer Contributions are never shown on employee pay stubs. However you can use the "Miscellaneous" pay stub account type instead, and those will appear on employee pay stubs and not affect their earnings or net pay of course.- how can employer taxes/contributions be shown on employee pay stubs?
