Not able to connect to Timetrex DB through pgAdmin

Hello-

We have Timetrex installed on a Linux box, I am trying to connect to the Timetrex DB through pgAdmin and I get the following error message. "could not connect to server: No route to host (0x00002751/10065) Is the server running on host "(IP Address of linux box)" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5433?"

On the linux side I enabled port 5433 for tcp and udp through its Firewall.
Am I missing something? is a service that is not running on my linux box? btw, using pgAdmin III on my XP machine. :(
