Adding a user to two groups

Post by mmayer »

Hi, I am really new here, and I am looking around for a good timeclock software for my company. What I have seen so far, I like, though I would like to know if there is a way that you could have a single employee be a member of two groups....

I will use myself as an example, I work for a non-profit organization that is a drug treatment facility for teenagers and I wear two hats here.
1. I work in the newly formed IT department which has it's own set of responsibilities and benefits separate from my other position
2. I work as a counselor with the teens

so I would like when I sign in...to chose which dept. I am signing in for. Is this something that is easily accomplished with this software, or should I just make myself two user accounts and call it duct-taped.

Thanks for your help in advance...

Yes, if you create two departments, when you punch in you can pick which department you want to record your time against.

Our introduction video demonstration shows a good example of this: http://www.timetrex.com/request_demo.php
