How it is possible to change time punches .
And why the time period is closed. With the version before it was possible to change the time stamps, and after the update it is nor more possibel.

To make adjustments to a specific employee's timesheet from a previous pay period do the following:
- Click on the Attendance tab
- Click the Timesheet icon
- From the Employee drop-down box select the employee you need to edit
- Choose the date you need to adjust using the Date field
- Click the Edit PayPeriod icon in the menu at the top right
- In the Status drop-down box select POST ADJUSTMENT
- Click the Save icon
- Make the appropriate changes on the timesheet
- Click the Edit PayPeriod icon
- In the Status drop-down box select CLOSE
- Click the Save icon
Because the pay period is in the past its Status was set to Closed. This prevented any adjustments from taking place. Choosing Post Adjustment allows for changes after it has been closed.
