Upgrade 32-bit to 64 bit

Post by MickG01 »

I'm upgraduing an ubuntu server from 32 to 64 bit (12.04 to 14.04 also).
I have the /var and /home paths on a separate drive and have proven this works even changing Ubuntu to Debian. the timetrex install is on /var/www/timetrex.
Can I upgrade the timetrex install from 32 bit to 64 bit also?

How did you install TimeTrex originally, from the manual .ZIP file or the automated .BIN installer?

Bin installer - This will probably also involve a Db (postgresql) upgrade but the backup should restor OKc

The .BIN installer is 32bit only, therefore you would need to switch to using Apache, PHP, PostgreSQL from your linux distribution instead and install TimeTrex using the manual .ZIP, which yes would require you to migrate your database.
