Break policies

Post by CarlosGonzalez »

Hello,
What policies should be applied in community edition? when I want for example :
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m with one hour of lunch break.
The employee only punch entry and exit 8:00 a.m. 5:00 pm , should not be considered lunch because no marks .
The system puts me 8 normal hours and 1 hour overtime ,
What policy should be applied to considerer only 8 regular time and not 1 hour overtime???.
Greetings.

If your employees are not required to punch for their lunch break make sure that your 1-hour Meal Policy's Type is set to Auto-Deduct and that the Meal Policy is assigned to the proper Policy Group.

Hello,

Please find attached example of parameterization of policies, and I think they have been defined as you mention, but it is still calculating an hour overtime.

In addition I attached schedule employee with their planning, the system indicates "S3" unplanned .

Greetings and thanks

In order to assist you with your Overtime issue please clarify how you would like overtime handled?

Concerning the S2 Exceptions issue from the screenshots that you provided the Exceptions are being caused by shifts that were scheduled after they had already been worked by the employee.

To resolve this issue at the Schedule View which can be found by clicking Attendance -> Schedules change the shifts that are in gray text (uncommitted shifts) on April 25, 2016 through to April 27, 2016 to committed shifts (black text) by clicking a shift so that it is highlighted in blue. At this point Edit and Save the selected shift without making any changes.

To prevent the issue from occurring going forward make sure that you create schedules for future dates.
