Access to "Bank Institution" data

Post by jpmahon »

We are using Version 2.2.22

There is a column that can be added to the employee report called "Bank Institution". See:

Home > Employee Tax / Deduction List > About > Employee List > Bank Account > Employee Information Report

However there doesn't seem to be a place to put this data into the database. The logical screen for this data entry is

Home > Pay Stub Account List > Employee Tax / Deduction List > About > Employee List > Bank Account

but this screen only inputs data for the routing number and the check account.

Questions:
1) Is there a way of putting this "Bank Institution" data into the database?
2) If not, can this feature be added to a future program release?

Thanks
John

Currently that field is only enabled when TimeTrex sees that the employee is in Canada.

Shaun,

Thanks for the explanation.

Can I please request that the feature be turned on for US customers also?

Thanks

Shaun

We need to keep this information for direct deposit of the employees' wages.

We would like to store the name of the bank e.g. "Wells Fargo" for each employee.

Thanks

Okay, the bank institution field is not designed to hold text information, it will only hold numbers, so it could never be used for the purpose you are looking for.

I would recommend entering the bank name into the Employee Note field on their employee profile, or using the Admin -> Company -> Other FIelds functionality to add a custom "Bank Name" field instead.

Shaun,

Thank you very much.

That is an excellent feature that I was unaware of.

It satisfied our requirements.

Cheers
